We’ve had the pleasure of learning with John at Boat School across three generations of our family. My wife and I completed our training years ago, followed by our eldest son, and just last night, our two daughters finished with flying colours.

The class is well-structured, making the test easy. In my opinion, the real value lies in how it teaches trickier concepts in a way that stays with you long-term.

Boatschool, my second time being taught by John, the course is perfectly taught with all the information needed to pass the assessment. A nice relaxed and informative session left me feeling very confident to pass the test and more importantly to feel positive about getting back on the water. Great advice to take your own notes during the training as it's a closed book test at the end. Hopefully I don't let my licence elapse again.

john was an amazing teacher. he breaks down the complex content into ways that are easy to remember and understand. john also answered any questions extremely thoroughly. he teaches you exactly what you need to know for the test and he made it very easy to go into the test feeling confident. john is extremely knowledgeable about everything he speaks about, and he keeps the class fun and entertaining, while also ensuring people in the class take on what he is saying. thank you john!
